MARGO KRUPP

WFF sadly acknowledges the passing in January of Margo Krupp - longtime Board member, Williamstown resident, good friend of the arts.

"She was a pistol," notes Festival executive director Steve Lawson (who first met Margo through her son Jon, a student of Lawson's at Yale). "Ever since she joined the Board in 2001, she threw herself into the cause. She contributed money and ideas, she sold program ads, she talked WFF up. Margo truly loved the arts. And her energy was extraordinary - she was just as devoted to the Theatre Festival, the Clark Art Institute, and all the other enterprises which grabbed her. We'll really miss her."

WFF Board president Bob Ware added: "Margo was an enthusiastic supporter, promoter and participant. She took a keen interest in the films selected, loved talking with the special guests, and reveled in the small-town yet sophisticated feel of our Festival. She was a tireless and devoted board member, and we will all miss her enormously."

An event to be announced will be dedicated to Margo's memory during WFF's Tenth Anniversary Season this fall.
